Vision

The Office of Outreach, Enrollment and Community (OEC) in Georgia Tech’s College of Computing will be offering four camps this summer. These camps, while offered in addition to the camps that have been offered by ICE@GT, are an effort to provide educational experiences for students who are interested in pursuing a college degree in computing. Our intent is to impart a base knowledge of programming and computing concepts that will serve as a foundation for your future academic endeavors.

Strategy

We have taken the fundamental concepts from our introductory programming classes and encompassed them in a week long learning experience. Classes will be highly interactive. The instructor’s presentation of a concept will be followed by reinforcing lab activities. The classroom/lab will be set up for two or three students at each computer. This will foster team learning and peer support.

Mission

The mission of the Office of Outreach, Enrollment and Community is to establish and steward a pipeline of qualified computing students who attend and graduate from the College with the best possible career options. The office works towards this goal through the three areas of emphasis spelled out in its name: outreach, enrollment and community.
